Beck Cottage Location

The area around Eyam is full of interesting sights, breathtaking scenery and excellent opportunities for all types of outdoor activities.

The village is closely located to the famous market town of Bakewell and the castle and caves of Castleton, the magnificent architecture of Chatsworth House and fine dining at Hassop Hall are all located within 5 miles of the village.

Also close at hand are the historic houses of Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, while the historic spa town and festival centre of Buxton is about 12 miles away.

The local opportunities for walking are excellent, with numerous walks from the door to local areas such as Eyam Moor and Bretton Clough. Further afield, Edale and Dovedale are just a short drive away.

The Peak District is one of the England's main areas for rock climbing, with thousands of climbs on the local gritstone edges and limestone cliffs. Hang gliding and para-gliding are also popular local sports.

The Peak District is easily reachable from the cities of Sheffield, Manchester, Derby, Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent - being normally less than an hour's drive from each.
